What's exactly done and what things get replaced in a tune up?

Question:

What kind of 12V battery is best for a camper to run a few accesories now and then.?

"Tune up" is an archaic term. From 20 years ago and prior. It is from the day of cars needing regular attention; points, distributors, carburetors and such mechanic devices that were once on cars. Regularly back then a car would need things like: points adjusted or renewed, carb adjustment or repair, spark plugs cleaned or replaced, valves adjusted and timing adjusted. Back when parts where mechanical not electronic. Back when parts didn't last long at all compared to today.
The term doesn't apply to modern cars. No two answers will match as to what it means due to the fact the term doesn't apply. Today's cars require you to follow the scheduled maintenance and fix what fails. Maintenance schedules for modern cars list mileages for replacement of the wearing parts. If you have a good mechanic, they will know your model of car well enough to know of anything else that will keep it running like it should. Best thing to do is to ask your mechanic to check if any maintenance is due and to look it over and let you know if it needs anything and also make mention of anything unusual you've noticed. Don't ask for a tune up and go somewhere else if they're selling one.

Should I get an alignment?

Generally a "tune up" will involve the replacement of: Oil, Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Spark Plugs. Also, the mechanic SHOULD check the O2 sensor, tires (for wear and pressure), fluid levels of windscreen washer, coolant and break fluid (and automatic transmission fluid if you have an automatic vehicle), and the battery power (amperage - output). Sometimes (but not always), you will also receive a tire rotation and a check of your brake system. Hope this helps.

How do I change the inside door handle on the driver's side on a 2000 Toyota Corolla?

This depends on year, make and model.Older cars have more adjustable parts then the newer cars.On most cars,I change the plugs( after gapping to specs, less platinum) ,wires, cap, rotor (if applicable) air filter, fuel filter,PCV valve, breather filter, adjust the timing and idle speed back to specs, and use a 4 gas analyzer to adjust the carb.(again,if it applies) .Also an oil change with filter, grease all fittings and inspect both drivetrain parts and light bulb function. And check and top off fluids.Mainly bumper fluid.lol
The days of valve adjustments are gone.Ask your shop what their tune-up includes.
