OKay I took my Blazer for inspection today and the guy said my Blazer has a problem in the emission in the motor big time! what is that? cuz I asked him what it was exactly and he said he would not know until they ckeck it out completely, is that expensive?

The question you actually asked is a bit ambiguous from a mechanical standpoint.There are many things he could say were wrong, and need diagnosis. Mechanical. Emissions pollutants. Adjustments. Broken parts. ETC.
For a reputable shop, you should expect to pay about an hour's worth of shop time for basic diagnostics, including retrieving codes, performing a base emissions reading, checking equipment and adjustments etc.
From that, he should provide you with a WRITTEN estimate of repairs, including the parts necessary, and the time expected, and the expected results.
There is always the caveat that the basic diagnostics are just that, BASIC. It is not unheard of that the tech may call you with a need for additional time to find something hidden, especially if the vehicle has modifications, or has been damaged by (collision, vandalism, inexperienced repairman, etc.)
Do not commit to anything without a WRITTEN estimate.

i own a shop and i think he,s maybe going to get you on this one,he should have been able to give you an answer on this right then,at least a good idea of whats causing this to happen,if he cant answer this then he,s going to stick you with an un real repair bill probably,this has been happening a lot lately to un suspecting people,id make hI'm prove to me what was causing this to happen,you need to get in touch with them as soon as you can,before they do anything to it,im not saying it may not have a problem because i cant even see the vehicle,but he should have been able to give you some kind of an answer on it,good luck with it i hope this helps.Whats the process start to finish to paint a car?
Emission is not a part name. We could not give you a good answer unless we knew more detail about what it failed on the sniffer test, assuming it did. Basically you asked "My car is broken. What is it?" Hell if I know! Sounds like a comunication problem between you and the inspector.Has anyone here ever had any muffler work done by Lou's Custom Exhaust?
