I have a 2003 Isuzu rodeo. The engine light is on and it stalls in drive and sometime surges,?

Question:
I replaced the plugs but no change. I shook the pcv and its not plugged. I got some readings saying it was misfireing does anyone know what that could mean besides plugs?

the car shift from 1st to 2nd but when it shift to 3rd, it just wines up?

it could be as simple as a broken vacuum hose, but id find out why the light is on. (what code). it may point you in the right direction. theres a number of things that could cause this,but initially sounds like an air/ vacuum leak. need more info.
