Clicking sound coming from under my car!?

Question:
I just had a 1995 Buick Regal with 147k on it gifted to me in the last month. 2 Weeks ago it passed a safety inspection but i'm now hearing a clicking sound coming from underneath the drivers side. It sounds very light from inside the car, but from outside it really is quite loud. It doesn't seem to interfere with anything, but what do I know? I just had the oil changed today and drove it back here to work about 5 mins away. Now, if it is an oil issue, will I have to drive it some more so things get coated? Or is this likely something else.

What is the firing order/plug location/distributor rotation for a 94 F150 5.0?

Any help?

What can i buy to my car for better performance cobaltss 2.4l?

Thanks,
Dan

Anyone have a good knowledge of Volvo's?

its hard to answer a question like this unless one can actually hear the sound. But i can tell you the most common things for under the hook ( knocking). It could be low oil but it doesnt take long after putting in the correct amount for that to stop. Check your belt to make sure it isnt slack or chewed up, it can cause loose tension making things wobble and knock. Also it could be a lifter in the engine, they best way to check that is to take your valve covers off while the car is running and see which one is not working, messy job. These are just some common noise makers though.

I would take it to another mechanic! I would not go back to this, it sounds like he is messing up your car.

Which type of motor oil should i use on a jeep wrangler 2000, 6 cyl, 4.0 liters with 90,000 miles?

most likely it's the c.v. (constant velosity) joint on the half shaft (the shaft that drives the wheel-there is one on both sides of the car to turn the front wheels). if it breaks, you may not be able to steer the car.

Why did my tranmission disengage when I went fast going in reverse?

the clicking sound you hear may be the cv joint,if so you probably don't here it till you make a turn,if it is the joint, replace the axle, cost about 100.bucks
