5.0 engine?or 4.6?

Question:
I have a Infinity q45 and the engine has went out on me, and every one I talked to about getting another q45 engine is talkin an arm and a leg just for the engine not including the work to put it in.
I just wanted to know if I could fit a 5.0 or a 4.6 in its place with out to much trouble?

Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE per se. But to do what you propose will require A LOT of work. The fabrication would not be to big of a deal, relatively speaking of course. But the wiring 'nightmare' may prove to be a HUGE headache, considering that you are proposing to swap a modern Ford fuel injected OBD-II controlled engine into a very sophisticated Japanese vehicle. This means you will need to have ALL emission controls fully functioning as well, in order for the 'transplant' to work. By the time all is said and done, this could cost you MORE than replacing it with the original engine. This is not to mention the compromise made to the car's reliability. It would probably be more feasible to get rid of this car, if money is an issue.
