Question:
I have a 1995 GMC JIMMY. It has been really hard to start, but eventually does after anywhere from 5 to 20 times. Drives fine when started and has no problem starting back up unless car sits overnight. When im trying to start the first intial start up of the day it turns over but will not start. almost like something isnt catching. Alternator, Battery, and Starter check out fine. when im trying to get it started it kinda sounds like when you jump a dead battery. Not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions. PLEASE HELP!!

I was told that i need new rear rotors and brake pads and a brake system flush. Is the flush needed?
i own a repair shop and if i was you id try checking all the ground wires on it that come off the negative side of the battery, those will cause one to start like this, also you might want to consider that this isn't a problem with the starting system, but could be tune up related, like spark plugs and stuff, this will make one real hard to get started,in short it might just need a good minor tune up,at least have a good mechanic check it,and get a good hands on opinion of it,that will help you a lot in repairing this one,i wouldn't go buying a lot of parts that other people say you need until you know for sure,as a lot of other people are finding out this can get real expensive, good luck i hope this helps.Camry difficult to start in the morning?
You say the battery "checked out". Did you do a load test on it, or only check the volts? From what I gather, it's cranking slow in the morning, right? While the battery may show 12 volts, there may be one "weak" cell. The volts don't drop off, but your "cranking amps" drop drastically with a weak cell.Is it really necessary to change the timing belt of a car's engine?
When the engine is all warmed up and "loose", it will start fine of course, since you only need half the cranking amps then.
