Should change oil and filter also,could be some diesel in crankcase.It really depends on the type of gasoline engine. A fuel injected engine will be more expensive than a carburated type. Either way the injectors or carb will have to be cleaned along with the spark plugs. The fuel filter and oil filter will have to be changed and the fuel lines cleaned out along with the fuel tank. If a shop does it your looking at about $1,000 dollars. Again, it really depends on the type and age of the engine.

it depends on how long you tried to drive it .If its an older car,you can get away with draining the diesel off and filling it with petrol,then just drive it.Itll be a bit rough for a few miles,but wont be damagedRattling on ford fiesta w-reg?
1st u will have to drain the gas tank . via stiffen . then disconnected the fuel line . from carp . or intake . if u have a fuel injection then their should be a valve that looks like a tire valve u can push that in but it can get messy . disconnecting would be my advice . put the line in to a mt. gas can and turn over the engine it will pump for 7 to 13 seconds then stop turn off key and turn back on do that about 10 times this will drain the line re hook the line try starting the car 3 or 4 times should b fineDo some vehicles have the thermostat in the radiator cap ?
diesel won't bother a gas engine (just drain the diesel fuel out and run gas in it), but gas WILL wear a diesel engine fast. It won't lubercate the injector pump enough as diesel fuel would.More Questions & Answers ...
