I need help .?

Question:
I have a 2001 Ford Expedition, the rear window wiper went out, the driver side chair can't be adjusted because the power button doesn't work, and the alarm on the key won't work to unlock the doors or turn the alarm on. The check engine light went on and I had a tune up and oil change on it already. I was told it was some fuse that controlled all the problems from the windshield wiper to unlocking my car with the key alarm.
Can anyone out there help me figure this out? I will take it into the shop but wanted to make sure I wasn't being cheated because I'm a woman. Thanks in advance to all those who replies back!

How do I add Bar's Leak to my radiator?

ok here what you need to do, look in your manual, there will be a fuse diagram. There will be on this diagram, a fuse labeled with the alarm, or passive security or something like that, and on it will be a number that is the amp rating of the fuse you need, now go to walmart or wherever, and ask the auto guy to get you that fuse, then refer back to that manual, and pull it out of the box, and replace it. You cant screw this up, as long as you are careful, and dont break the fuse off, dont take it to the dealership for this, they will take advantage. The fuse box should be located under the left side of the steering wheel. There will be a panel to pull out.

i own a repair shop ,and if you have the owners manual on this one look in it and see if it has a diagram of the fuse panel in it,if it does have a look at it and see if it shows the fuse for what you need ,it should show it, and the size of it and also the exact location of it,good luck i hope this helps.

Ring and Pinion?

lpasucks, you're an a**hole. Ford was the first and Ford is the best. Having fuses blow is a very common problem and tremendously easy to fix. There are generally two fuse boxes. One should be under or around the steering column inside the car. The other is underneath the hood. The problems you are dealing with sound like low voltage so you won't have to worry about working under the hood. At AutoZone they sell fuse pullers (looks like a set of plastic tweezers) and fuses. Honestly, I think if you asked them they would willingly help you fix it. AutoZone can also do an OBDII reading on you're car and diagnose the Check Engine problem. You can pull up a diagram of the fuses online or in you're owner's or Haynes manual. Sometimes there is even a diagram on the back of the plate that covers the fuse box. It's no excuse just to say you can't do something just because you're a woman!
