What you need to know is more than a NO answer. It can become a yes answer with the followings; First of all your car is one of a necessity today and not just a luxury. As you wait for an oil change because of various reasons you are gumming up your inside oil galleries of the engine that takes the oil up to the top of the engine parts such as the heads, the valve train, your camshaft, your lifters, yours rings, and as the more you wait it will become an expensive auto gas pump rush. Here is why,The combustion in the engine must not be obstructed by thick oils varnish that can reduce the proper temperature at what the gas will explode in its chamber. The usual temp of combustion is 750 degrees Fahrenheit. If it is below that the it is near raw gas that is unburned and will follow the easy way out, either by the exhaust or done in the oil pan by by-passing the rings which became gummed up due to lack of oil change. This in return can and could cost more than and oil change, cost effective solutions are cheaper than a new engine. And this is the worst it can get. You do need and appropriate answer instead of a "NO: GET AN OIL CHANGE!!!! HARVEY.Ignition problem on my 73 Stingray Corvette.?
