Question:
I have a 96 Acura Integra that won't start. The low battery and oil pressure lights come on when I switch the key to ignition 2. I think the battery is still good, and I have my oil changed about 2 months ago, and the oil level seem good too. The guy who gave me a tow said that it's probably my fuel pump. I have asked around, and one mechanic told me that it might be my fuel pump module or fuel module. Does this sound about right? I want to know what might be the problem and the cost to fix it before taking my car to the shop.
Also, I have little difficulties starting my car from time to time prior to this, but I don't think the oil pressure and battery light come on before. It was running ok when I when to school, but it won't start after I got off my class 3 hours later. Thanks.

Need DIY info on replacing my 03 Windstar SEL cabin filter.?
First, the good news: the oil pressure light is supposed to come on when you first turn the key. There will be no oil pressure when the engine is started, so the light will be triggered. Besides, it's designed that way to tell you that the light is working. How can I remove an oil stain from my concrete driveway?
As for why it's not starting, it may very well be your fuel pump or module. Without looking at the car, no mechanic can tell. But is sounds reasonable. Good luck.
95 integra LS, shifting but no power to the wheels?
Car has an issue; or the car is to old; cars go away maybe 7 years or so. I'm reading a book called Lunch Money by Andrew C., and a boy's math teacher[Mr Z] gets a oil change every 5500 miles and gets a new WHITE TOYOTA CAMRY every 110000 miles. The white keeps the car cool, which means less a/c, and gas because the a/c is powered by gas, and he can afford the best equiptment on a Camry. What is the correct weight of oil to put in a 59AB flathead Ford engine?
Your oil and battery lights are on due to the engine not running, it is seeing a drain on the elec due to your alternator not producing power, and your oil pressure because there prob isn't any with the engine off. I know it sounds lame, but have you checked the fuses? I would start there. Are you getting any noiselike a small whirr when you turn the key to 2 that cuts off after a couple seconds? If so, your fuel pump is working... the other option is to pull out the fuel filter, be careful though, if the pump is working, you will get a lot of raw gas spraying out...(not the safest way to check)What can I wash my car's gas thank with?
It could be blocked fuel filter too. It takes more fuel to start a cold engine than keep a warm one running. Do the filter and flush the line behind it.First you need to look and see how old your battery is.It should be stamped on top of battery. If your car is not getting enough
amps. to turn over your engine, it will not start.Your fuel pump
should have a fuse or a relay for it, that would be the next thing to check if your battery is okay.It could cost you between three hundred-five hundred to get it fixed if is fuel problem .
