Car does not start when the weather is hot or when car is driven a while and left to sit?

If you don't know where the mass airflow sensor is, it's in the intake ducting usually close the manifold. Buy the product from the auto parts store for cleaning the MAFS that has the best instructions and follow the directions. It should be on the shelf near the Throttle body cleaners. Not sure if i would use brake cleaner or not since most throttle body cleaners say not to clean MAFS's with them. leads me to believe that some solvents harm the sensor. Or the just want you to buy both, either way i would play it safe

How often are you suppose to change tranmission fluid in a car?

well the manufactor say they are not servacible.
The real awnser go to the parts store get a can of brake parts cleaner. remove the maf sensor from the car and spray it with brake clean. blow it off with compressed air and reinstall.
Things to rember. dont touch the wire element with anything that has oil in it including your fingers. Dont get brake cleaner in you eyes it really burns
good luck
