I have a 2000 3.8 v6 camaro when if the car is in gear and stopped and I press the clutch down it rattles, it stops as soon as the car starts moving or if the car is placed in neutral. This is my first manuel transmission just wondering what is causing this

sounds like a pilot bearing / through out bearing man...it's not hard to change but it is hard to get at...good luck

It's not too hard to change if you have an older model vehicle. It seems like you might have something on your clutch plates.help,,, eight months ago i paid £50 for a new battery for my ford ka.?

It needs service. Broken spring on the pressure plate. Or badly worn clutch plate (Does it slip?)Possibly pilot bearing, but not likely, they don't usually rattle. Take it to your favorite mechanic and have him give it a test drive and a look.
