Check your sparkplugs and wires/air filter/fuel filter. if you haven't had a tune up get one done. Also it could be a sensor or a clogged catalytic convertor. Is there an odor of rotten eggs? one more thing have your alternator checked.Help with auto car starter......?
My first suspicion is the ENGINE TEMPERATURE SENSOR....There are two sensors on the engine, for temp. the one with THREE wires in the plug is the one..The other is a two wire plug for the gauge/light. If the sensor does not sense the cold engine the computer does not deliver a richer mixture for the cold engine. It delivers more fuel to a cold engine. Yours is not doing that..Pull the plug on and off a few times..If that does not cure the problem replace the sensor..More Questions & Answers ...
