Why does pepper work as a stop leak in ones radiator?

First you need to rotate the engine so that no 1 piston is at TDC, then you can install the distributor so that the rotor is pointing to the no 1 plug wire on the cap. Then it is just a matter of running a timing lite on it to make any timing adjustment it may need.
