Yes it can be expensive for you, it's not the head gasket what will be expensive you can get them pretty cheap! It's the labour what's expensive. if you take it to main dealer then it will top wack! I find the smaller the garage the cheaper it will be..shop around!! however ask a friend of a friend if they know a mechanic..I done this & only paid 100 quid! there are pepole out there..I brought the gasket myself tho, you'll get one for a clio around 20 quid depending on the year, buy them from your local motor discount store or even e bay eg.
