Can I repair/replace the brgs/pulley in alternator for my '05 Chevy Colorado without replacing the alternator.

Question:
Having no problems with the alternator, but I am experiencing a very loud chattering coming from the pully (bearings). It is the 5 cylinder engine and the truck has about 52K miles on it.

Answers:

whom do i contact about shoddy service, when the manager will not listen or talk to you at a quick lube shop?

You can replace the bearings and pulleys on just about anything. However, this would require the use of pressing tools, not hammer and punch method, proper sizing of parts and a lot of aggravation (personal experience). I found it easier to get a new or re-man unit at a discount store vs pricing parts from a re-fab shop. Also, being a 5 cylinder engine, if it's a diesel, check to see if the engine manufacturer is Deutz.

Yes you can change them. You will have to pull them and size them with calipers to determine metric or standard, then go to a bearing supply likeb T.L. Walker and purchace them.

Where can i buy head bolt for a Kia Rio 2002 1.5 lt engine?

That's all a rebuilt alternator usually is. An cleaned up old alternator with new bearings. Just swap your old one for a rebuilt and let the pros have their $40 for doing the job.

What is the normal PSI compression test for a 350chev engine??

Never heard of a 5 cyl.Chevy ?? Doesn't affect alt. any way. Are you sure it's the alt. ?? Sounds are really tricky. Do you have an idler pulley ? If you can, remove or loosen the belt that drives the alt. and see what happens. If you have a bad bearing you may be running belts too tight. Not worth the effort to replace brg's. Get a rebuilt they are every bit as good as new.

How do I know if my catalytic converter needs to be changed?

check your local auto parts store for price and availability. they can test it while you have it out, might as well, you're going there anyways. after you get the price of the parts you might find a rebuilt is easier and cheaper. good luck!
