Question:
130k on my civic just died, low power, turned off, checked oil, water all ok, did not overheat. restarted, drives like nothing happened! Had it scoped and shows a bunch of codes, tech says the TDC sensor makes the most sense. But wants me to take it to Honda. What do you think? Runs fine now with check engine light on, should I reset computer by disconnecting battery or just run with it??

if the light went off then came back on you have a reaccurring problem , i would have it rescanned and see if it's something different. How do i fix my car windows???
First of all, it may not reset the code from power cutoff, and an OBD2 scanner may be the only option.Second, if there is a bunch of codes, I wouldn't throw money at it - you will only get confused - what if the part you just installed was dead on arrival?
I would clear the codes, and drive it until the light comes back on. Hopefully, it sets a decisive code. There also are good chances that it will never happen again. I've seen cases like that.
just go ahead and take it to a Honda dealership, they are the people who will know most about your car
First off I don't like your tech. He meant to say your crankshaft position sensor, TDC is top dead center..
How should I mount this carbon fiber muffler?
Second if there is no problem with how the car is driving then I would recommend disconnecting the battery this will clear any soft codes, if the light does not go off after disconnecting the battery (make sure its disconnected for at least 5 mins) then you have a hard code (indicates a problem with the engine as opposed to emissions or a senor not working properly) in this case you should take your car to Honda to have them look at it
