Question:
I'm getting the cd player in my car fixed at the dealership since it stopped reading discs. I have a '96 nissan maxima. Basically, they're going to take it out, ship it to CA to get fixed, and then 10 days later... put it in my car. Would I be able to drive my car if I let them take it out to get shipped (and fixed) since I need a way to get to school and work?

I have a constant ticking sound, like my signal blinker is always on. what could this be?
That car yes, but some cars the stereo, DIC, and climate control all run off the same unit, so in some cases all functions wouldn't work. But you Nissan it will. This may sound strange and i have never personally worked on a car like this but i have been told that some foreign cars(not sure which ones),their engines will not run if the stereo is removed.I know this sounds corny but it was some form of "safety".Cant say why or how this was made but its just what ive been told.Your car may not run.I could be wrong,it was just a rumor.
will diesel or petrol freezes in low temperature?
If you honestly think a car won't run without the CD player in place in the dash you are going to be ripped off with every repair your car needs. I'd suggest a course in basic car maintenance.Car should run.
Why not check out www.crutchfield.com ?
Great stereos. They include all instruction to remove old radio and install new one.Has got to be cheaper than having a dealership repair a stock stereo.
How do I remove melted chocolate from fabric?
Your car will work without the CD player. If you take it to the dealer for them to take it out and ship it, you shouldnt worry about a thing. If something goes wrong, the dealer will have to fix it because the messed it up. Not to scare you, but I just mean like a short or something. Very unlikely since the wires have a plastic connector preventing shorting.your car wil be fine. Its on a separate circuit from everything else in the car and wont affect your other features.
