Air brakes?

why do i have to adjust slack adjuster at least every week ?
I raise vehicle and adjust slack adjusters until i get some drag, then i back off just a little. Can you reset slack adjusters by removing , turning worm screw and reinstalling?

if you have automatic slack adjuster which is on 1997 and newer trucks you have to adjust them at the clevis the part that you screw in or out at the brake chamber
