Drum to disc brake conversion. How much would that cost including parts?

Hello there, well this sounds like something I have seen quite a few times. My name is Greg and I have been a automotive tech. for 18 years now. While it does sound like vaporlock, this is a fuel injected car, so the culpret is almost always the fuel pump, you can check the codes in the computer, but if it is a fuel pump, often there is no codes set.The best way to determine this is to drive the vehicle long enough so the problem will present itself, and have someone test the fuel pressure after the car is warm and see what you have, It should have a minimum pressure of 28 psi. If it is lower than that, then you will need to replace the fuel pump, the pick-up screen in the tank, and the fuel filter. The pump is in the gas tank. The average price for a decent shop should be around 500-600 dollars. Then you will have yourself a dependable ride again. Good Luck!

Stop and go driving hurts my car?

Sounds like the old vapor lock. Have you had the throttle body cleaned or rebuilt? There are two injectors in there that may need replacing along with a complete rebuild! Definitly sounds like a cleaning is in order. May be a throttle position sensor also!

How do you clean your fuel injectors?

One idea is to hold the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and crank for 10 seconds or so. That opens up the throttle plate to let in as much air as possible and puts your computer in the "clear flood" mode so it won't inject anymore fuel into the engine. You may have an overly rich condition due to a leaking fuel injector that dripples fuel into the engine and makes it very hard to start when the engine's hot.
Another possibility is an ignition module that breaks down under an engine heat soak interval like you describe. Both problems have to do with the engine being real hot and then shut down and not starting until it cools off.
You can read out any computer error codes yourself by connecting pins A and B together at your OBD-I diagnostic connector (probably under the steering wheel). The check engine light will flash the error codes.
Finally, since it's an easy thing to do, make sure your engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) measures good.
