He has actually made a mistake when he posted the pics of his bike..thats not a 99 model! Not with front & rear drum brakes & twin shocks! air cooled too!

..ahhh they stopped twin shock in 1982 so yours is earlier than that..I think were yours has a square headlight yours might be 1981 as thats when they were changing around that time..

It is pretty simple to change the headlight to square..as I have done this...so don't let the headlight confuse you! : )

It is quite possible that Bikepics put an incorrect date - 1999 rather than 1989. You only have to put a 9 instead of an 8...This is called human error.
