Seat leon alloy wheels?

Question:
looking to fit alloys to my seat leon (2000) 1.6
standard tyres at the moment are 195/65/R15 but to go up to 17 or 18 inch rims i need 205 or 225 width tyres.
What will this do to the way the wheel is mounted? Do i need spacers or a fitting kit or something.
As you can see im a novice to all this car pimpin.

First off, the 205 and 225 designate sidewall height. The 65 denotes width. What you want for that vehicle is 190/55/R17.
