Question:
As I pulled into a parking garage a large metallic crashing sound reverberated through the chassis of my 1988 Honda Accord and the drive train failed. It corrected, I drove 10 feet and then THUD-THUD. The engine hopped violently, shaking the car again. Finally, 50 feet later, for the third and final time, the metallic thunking. The car wouldn't move. On the ground, in all three places that the car had sputtered, were small, heavy, metal rings.
My car would park in that garage for two weeks until I sold it for $1. The buyer had it looked at and called me later to give me the diagnosis: In a matter of minutes, my front axel had broken which whipped around and shattered my differential (spitting those metal rings onto the ground) and blowing my manual transmission. The axel dislodged and managed to crack my engine block, split my oil pan and knock the hell out of my exhaust system. Anyone else have a mechanical failure (not an accident) that can match that?

that beats the hell out of mine. i had two engine mounts decided to undo themselves. sorry i dont know how they got unscrewed. i was able to get home althou the engine was hopping every time i hit the gas. i think u may take the prize.
