What would Cause a Car To run Fine for about 20-30 Minutes and then shut off?

Question:
I have a 1989 Cutlass Supreme 2.8MFI V-6. It will start and run fine for 20-30 Min. Then just shut off. When you try to restart it will kinda try to start but wont. The only Trouble Code I have is 45 Oxgen Sensor Rich Error. Oil pressure Is fine. If I let the car sit for couple hours, will restart problem all over. What would cause the car to do this? Fuel leak, Bad O2 Sensor?

How can I get super glue off of the dash of my car? acetone didn't work.?

If it seems to be heat related, next time it will not start, i would check for spark at the plugs. If none, probably a bad crank sensor or ignition module. Good luck

1992 honda civic died while driving home helppppppppppp?

hrmmm the heater in your o2 sensor might not be heating up enough or fast enough, replace the o2 sensor. check the spark, check if its getting enough fuel and the pressure. your engine is running rich when its running so i would look at the Mass airflow sensor and the throttle position sensor.

What is the best way to get rid of oil stains in the driveway?

yes it's your O2 Sensor have that replaced and it should run good again

how do i hot wire my 1987 626 my key was lost?

Easy. The valve clearences need checked. As your engine heats up the metal expands slightly causing less fuel or / and oxygen to get into the chamber. A pressure test etc. will identify the culprit(s)

how do i rplace the lifters on my 1984 pontiac fiero 2m4?

I would say its either the Crank position sensor, Ignition module, or fuel pump.
When it shuts off, does it shut off right now? Or does it sputer a few times and then turn off?
If it sputters, i would say it is a fuel related issue (pump/filter)
If it shuts off right now, i would say it is ignition (crank position sensor/ignition module)
You can buy a fuel pressure gauge at your local parts store, and install the gauge on the fuel rail ( there is an easily accessable port for this on the fuel rail) Install the gauge with the car off, then start the car, and monitor the gauge. If it starts to drop pressure then die, you have narrowed the problem down. If the pressure stays steady, i would start looking into the ignition system.
Either the ignition module or the crank sensor is where i would be looking.

I have a 1995 cadillac seville and it won't start. I turn the key and it won't start.?

Bad O2 sensor will shut down fuel pump in tank at the relay. O2 sensors are easy to change, though. Just unplug, and unscrew from exhaust manifold. Purchase one at the auto parts store first, then you will know what you are looking for.
