Why won't my high beams go off even when I turn off the engine on my 97 ford crown vic?

Do not mix ATF fluids. Mopar ATF 7176 is a Chrysler spec. Sometimes you have to read the entire label on the back of an ATF container to find the info you need. Go to a Dodge or Chrysler dealership and buy it there if you can't find ity amywhere else.

If a car has 130,000 highway miles on it, is that bad?

type F will make it shift firmer..delcron will make it slip more.
if you buy a trans from B&M they recomend type F

Why does our cavalier consume so much fuel?

How old is the car?
The "7176" may be a Chrysler number that qualifies the engineering of the oil. If you can locate it, use the ATF+4. It will perform well in ALL Mopar transmissions, even the very old 727s.
