There are a thousand and one quick lube oil change shops out there. They usually take about 10-15 minutes to change the oil. You can also take it to the dealer or any dealer that sell your make and model. They cost a little more then quick lube. Being 600 miles over is not a big deal. Many companies tell you to change the oil every 3,000 miles. However, look in the owners manual and it'll probably say 7,500 miles.

Your oil has to want to change. It sounds to me like your oil doesn't like change. Ask your oil what does it want from life.
