My head lights on my clio turn themselves off.?

Question:
I have an N reg Clio (old style) and I turn my head lights on and they turn themselfes off and Im just left with side lights. I have to turn them on and off again a few times until they finaly turn on but then about 5 mins later they just turn off again. Does anyone know whats wrong? Or know where I can get a wiring diagram so I can take a look?
