Question:
About to buy MGZR and cause MG went bust, there is no manufacturers warranty.Prepared to get my own warranty, but seems like a minefield! Most companies seem to exclude cover on all the things that could go wrong and cover all the parts that you would probably fix yourself!? HELP!!
Answers:
Why do you have to use New head bolts, install new gasket?
MG is a tough car to warranty. So it may get a little pricey. I would say to try G.E. They are a huge company that you know won't go out of business. As for coverage, there is no company that will warranty any wearable items. (brakes, tires, hoses etc.) Make sure to try and get at least powertrain and electrical systems covered. Good LuckThere is a company out there called Preferred Warranties, I am not sure if a MG would be a covered car but it might be worth a try. www.warrantys.com is there web site. Hope that helps, have fun with your purchase.
automatic transmission noise i hear when it change gears?
most warranty are not worth the paper they are printed on, you are right in thinking that the things that go wrong are excluded and believe me with that car a lot is going to go wrong (why buy a car with one of the worst engines on the road from a company that has go bust from selling a bad product), if you do go ahead please remember the dealer makes a lot of money by selling you their H.P., warranty's and all the other add onsSeems like all companies exclude the typical stuff that goes wrong, we found that out from bitter experience! Save your cash for the repair bills instead!
