Question:
Okay, here is what is going on with my car. First, it was a slight miss at idle, then it progressed (in the space of a week) to not running at all, had to have it towed home. I have changed out the MAP sensor after getting a OBD code of 33 and 34. I have looked for vacuum leaks. There are only 4 lines located right behind the throttle body. I used the WD-40 trick for this. There is LOTS of fuel flow. Depending on which POS Chiltons manual you believe, I should have between 6-13 psi of fuel pressure. Fuel filter has been changed. Every ignition component except the coils have been replaced, including the plugs and wires. The firing order remains in question. None of the Chiltons manuals show a 4 cyl firing order. V6 and V8, thank you very much, but nothing for the 2.5L engine. Also, it doesn't have direct or port fuel injection. Its the TBI model with DIS ignition. Any ideas? I've spent hundreds of dollars with nothing being fixed. Last OBD run showed no trouble codes.

Can I use Synthetic oil in an older vehicle ?
Don't quote me on this, but the firing order for the 2.5L 4cyl is 1-4-2-3. A good way to check this is to call the dealership, an auto parts store, or a mechanic shop and ask for it. They have the information readily available!Hope it works out for you!

Firing .order. should be 1342, how do the plugs look, is it getting spark? Maybe it jumped time. I think 87 was the last year for the fiber cam gear, it would of made some rattling noises for a while before it failedwhy must a cylinder head be tork loaded in a certain sequence when done up?
