The car ran hot and the anti freeze spilled out. Plus it was shaking. The repair man I took the car to said it needed a cooling fan, complete tune up and transmission service. Price $600.00. I Know little about cars, does this price sound right.

if the fan broke that would cause it to shake bad but you could get a fan from a junk yard. $600 seems steep for a tune up, replacing the fan, and basically changing the filter in your transmission,the parts shouldnt be more than $80-100 i would do that for about 250 thats just my price mechanics differI don't get the transmission service, but it may be because your engine overheated. The cost for the fan is about $115. Figure another $125 for filters, fluids, and tune up parts. Say three hours labor. I think it's worth shopping around, the price seems high.
