I have a '98 Pontiac Grand Am with a blown head gasket, is it worth fixing for $800??
Did you beed the air out of the cooling system after replacing the thermostat? Sounds as though you may have a vopour lock in the cooling system and it needs to be purged. (depending on the engine you have- some have a bleede valve on the intake that can be opened to allow the air out of the system)My 2002 Impala LS (sport package) has warped rotors. How bad is this problem?
First, Make sure the thermostat housing was replaced along with the thermostat. if that was not done, do it. Second, if it still overheats the coolant temp sensor may be reading innaccurately. very common on these cars!did you change the antifreeze?
if so it could be a faulty thermostat
