Problems with my 53 plate renault laguna 2litre turbo petrol?

Question:
The car started making loud rattling noises almost like a drum roll from the engine and the turbo stopped working. Any time the turbo should come on, for example, steep hills or above 1800 RPMs the car loses loads of power and wont go above 2000 RPM, then engine management, electronic fault warning lights come on. The car is booked in the garage for next week, can anyone give me any ideas or suggestions to what the problem maybe.

lee is pretty spot on m8,sounds like there is a drop in intake air,it is very possible its just a intake pipe came adrift or burst.it may also be a sensor fault.i do work for renault but aint had many problems with this engine,yet! the turbos are pretty soft on renaults too so may just be a turbo impellar fault which is where the pennys start to disapear.your warranty may still be valid,it covers turbos and pipes though.3 years or 60000 miles me thinks,good luck.........ross

The engine management light coming on indicates there is a fault with the engine. A diagnostic test will be able to locate the fault.

sounds like one of the turbo hoses may have come off also this car suffers from the turbo intercooler spliting

how do u get ur truck suspention lifted in the front?
