Question:
My car is a 1995 Jeep Wrangler, 5-speed manual transmission with 4 wheel drive and 125,000 miles on it. If I sit at a traffic light with my foot depressing the clutch and the car in 1st gear, it starts moving forward, even though my foot is still on the clutch.
car died while driving it--just had a lot of work done 3 months ago?
When it starts cold now, I can't get it into any gear at all with my foot on the clutch.
Do you think I need to replace the clutch master cylinder, or could this be a different problem? If so, how expensive is the repair?

sable serpentine belt to bypass AC compressor?
You might just need to bleed the system. If that doesn't work, you probably need a clutch master and/or slave cylinder. You need to get it fixed before it wears out the clutch. The repair will cost about $200 if you take it to a shop.is it safe to get a paint job on a vehicle from MAACO or AAMCO? do they do good jobs?
You need a need a new clutch ahd pressure plate.id say your pilot bearing is seized to input shaft thus driving trans gears also explains hard to get in gear needs clutch kit installed
Yep sounds like a clutch "linkage" problem. If I am not mistaken your year Wrangler has a hydraulic clutch. Sounds like either there is air in the hydraulic system or it is leaking somewhere. The system works by using a incompressible fluid to move the clutch. With any kind of air or leaks in the system it will not function properly and cause the clutch to engage even with the pedal down; hence it rolling forward at stoplights.
Yeh ... sounds like a hydaulic problem or you need a clutch adjustment. Try bleeding the air out of the clutch master and slave cylinders. That or if you have a cable instead of hydraulic, you need an adjustment.

clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing,, while its apart have the flywheel resufaced and a new rear sear put in,, if you dont and the seal goes bad then it all has to be taken apart again,, what will happen if you dont change the clutch is that it will slip and it wont move at all,, clutches are easy just a painSounds like you are on the right track. I would first check the fluid in the reservoir. There is a chance that you need to bleed the system. Check out the following web site:
