I have a 1999 grand am i want to put 20" rims on it what size tires do i need?
What is high flow? Do you mean a short ram intake? A good rule to follow is the longer the intake tube the louder/throatier the sound will be. You should really leave your intake alone and just replace the filter with a nice K&N. Cold air intakes put the filter very close to the ground. If you go through a puddle you may submerge your filter and suck up water. Best case scenario you will end up with vapor lock and you will need to flush the water out of your engine. Worst case scenario and the vapor lock will kill your engine. It cuold bend your connecting rods or break a wrist pin etc. A short ram intake pulls the air from under your hood. As your car warms up and it gets very hot under there you will lose a lot of performance. How often do you need to change your car tires?
What is high flow intake? If you mean short ram, then the difference would be between low end and the high end power. CAI has more power in the high end, while SRI has more power on the low end. That was due to its length.Sounds? sounds louder does not mean works better...

The short ram is prety easy to install, while the cold air intake is a bit more difficult to install.

You can buy a filter shield for the CAI to prevent water from splashing onto the filter...this is not a very big deal anyway unless you are a dork and install the filter coming out under the frame lol
