what type of hydralic fluid is recommended for my hydrostatic drive tractor?

I think you are holding the ignition too long when you start the engine. And also don't hold it to the maximum for too long.

your starter bendex is hanging up in the flywheel.

a walmart 18 wheeler thru a rock and hit my radiator in truck - how can i get in touch with them?

If you are cranking the engine too long, then the car will start, but the starter will not disengage.....don't crank the engine as long when you go to start it.

sounds like your starter is sticking and rubbing against the flywheel not good cause it could damage the teeth on the flywheel

what does wd-40 mean?

It sounds like the starter gear is staying engaged to the flywheel longer
than it needs to (not releasing right after start). This may be due to the
started being miss aligned. If the starter was ever removed or replaced it may not have been reshimmed properly.

64 pontiac heater core instalation instructions?

It sounds to me like the Bendix is staying engaged into the flywheel. The flywheel will finally kick the Bendix back out after the engines runs for a few seconds. It could also be a weak or broken return spring on the solenoid. Have your starter checked out by having it removed and checked at a garage.

Can I interchange VW Rabbit doors with Jetta or Golf?

It sounds like your Bendix Drive (starter gear) is not retracting by itself. Instead, when the engine gets up to speed, it kicks it out.
If you know a driveway mechanic, have 'em take out the starter.
Hook jumper cables to it and a battery. The starter gear SHOULD extend out from the starter, the gear should spin, (I usually lay the starter on the ground, and step on it so it doesn't take off). When you remove power, the gear WILL stop spinning, ans SHOULD spring back into the starter.

your starter could still be hanging up, the return spring could be weak, you didnt say how many miles on it,
