I have a few questions for a mechanic?
Industry guidelines state that when replacing only 2 tires on a vehicle for example, those tires should be mounted on the REAR axle irregardless of whether or not it is front or rear drive. This is the policy of the RMA (Rubber Manufacturers Association - the trade group for the tire industry) and every major tire manufacturer such as Bridgestone and Michelin.
The reason they should be mounted on the rear is safety. A loss of traction at the front axle is usually preceeded by some warning and is relatively easy for even a mediocre driver to handle. A loss of traction at the rear wheels is often sudden and dramatic, leading to an immediate and complete loss of traction that even highly experienced race car drivers find hard-to-impossible to control. I can speak to this from personal experience both out on the road and on the test track where I have demonstrated this many times.
How do you set the timming on a 1990 chevy tbi engine?
We take this issue so seriously at my employer that if the customer refuses to let us put the new tires on the rear axle we will give up the sale and tell them to go to the schmucks down the street, who have no ethics about what to do on cars. I'd rather lose the sale than do the wrong thing.
I have a suzuki ts100 it has twin suspension and square headlamp i found lookalike in bikepics?
For a graphic demonstration of why you put the better tires on the rear axle Michelin have gone to the trouble of producing a fun little video - clearly they take this issue seriously too. Go to the following link and click on the bit about where to mount 2 good tires.

you put the good tires on your traction axle which is the front on your car, it only makes sense as you have to have traction to steer on a front wheel drive.More Questions & Answers ...
