This morning when i went to turn on my 240 it started and then died right away, i tried to re start it but no go. Befor this hapenned i used to have problems with the car. Some times when i would come to a compleate stop and put the car on neutral my RPM will drop and my car would stall. Any one have any idea what can be wrong with my car?

It could be one of several things. Something simple like your fuel filter being dirty and plugged up, or the fuel pump filter in the tank. There is the possibility of your fuel pump not working any more. The following is only going to work as long as your car is fuel injected. Go out and turn the car on and make sure that it is quiet outside so you can listen. You should here a whirring sound for a couple of seconds after turning the key to the run position. That is your fuel pump. As long as you hear that, it is most probably the fuel filter.My check engine light is always on, is it my truck or just a bad light?
I had this happen with my 240 when it was cold outside. basically, the car was flooding due to a glitch in the efi computer. hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor and crank it till it fires. it may take awhile, hope your battery is good. it will run rough and smoke like crazy for a few seconds, then smooth out and run normally. if thats not it, then you need to start diagnosing other reasons for it. fuel, spark etc.. good luck.More Questions & Answers ...
