I have a 95 taurus. It has got to be the car that i have had the most problems of all of my cars! Carr keeps stalling, then if I let it sit for like 5-10 minutes, it will start up again without puttering out. So i changed the fuel filter. Damn thing drove for like 22 miles between today and last night, and it starts stalling again. It will start after stalling, but it will immediately putter out. It will only run again if it sits for a minute. My fuel pump is working because I can hear it when I turn the key to the ACC setting. I'm at my wits end already...lol. Anyone have any ideas?

The canister purge circuit is the thingy (pardon the technical term) that purges your gas vapor canister... an emissions thing that collects fuel vapors then burns them in the engine. This can cause weird stuttering issues. The EGR circuit is also an emissions thingy (I'm a pretty technical guy)... Exhaust Gas Recirculation. So, what to do?
How to put a streeing colum on?
1) Check your battery, belts and alternator- bad electrics and the rest of the match is already lost.
2) Check fuel pressure at the injector rail (could be a bad pump or clogged filter, or both). Wrong fuel pressure, and emissions issues will always be with you, along with burned valves, pistons and really hot catalytic converters.
3) If you choose to clean the intake, be careful of your chemical selection- it should say "MAF" safe or "Sensor" safe... old style carb cleaner can kill Mass Air Flow Sensors and O2 Sensors. There are some decent (about $40) injector rail and top end cleaner kits out there. Read the directions, and work safe- outside and with a fire extinguisher in reach.
4) Clear the codes, and see if they resurface, if so, you may need to replace your EGR valve (not too bad) or your purge system (mmm... can be a pain the the wallet).

(controls the spark to the spark plugs) would get hot and stop working in a very similar fashion. The ignition coil needed to be replaced. Like I said it could be anything and it might be best to take it to a reputable mechanic.

what needs to be done is to clean up the air horn on the throttle body fuel injector
take aloose the twin hose going from the air filter and use some carb cleaner to clean yup the residue causing the flap not to close entirely and makeing the dang car idle up and down move the throttle cable linkage while spraying the cleaner let it sit for 30 mins and restart the car and it will be like a tune up
