Well a paint job varies.. it depends on the type of paint you get as well. You can get a not so good paint job for cheap. They actually have somehting that you can take the dent out you self. depends on how big is that dent, you might be able to use rubber hammer ( knock very lightly from inside to make it looks better) , then it will cost less cause it looks much better now.

Maaco does what they call a scuff and shoot unless you pay otherwise. Maaco has the ability to do great work, but most people don't want to pay the extra money it takes to get it right. First of all, if you do an overall paintjob on your car, Maaco is going to spray it with enamel paint. This is a one stage paint job and has no depth to it. It lasts 3 yrs max. If you do only the hood, you can ask them to fix the dent and sand/primer the entire hood with a 2k primer. This locks down old problems where just adding a sealer and spraying over everything does not. Have them paint with base/clear which isn't that expensive for just the hood. Your total should be around $400 (if the dent is fixable), but you will have a much better job. They specialize in removing dents and dings with no painting required.I have had to take my Dodge Ram into the shop for a good sized dent in my truck bed from a careless person opening there door. at a shopping mall. A body shop was going to charge me $900 to remove all my accessories from my Right Rear box panel (mud flap, fender flare, stainless steel gas door, Box cap liner, rear tail light) and repaint.
