I was a technician for 9 years, It's still a mans world, for 10 days looked for a car with a 5000.00 cash. Brouth this saturn home. After 2 days kept noticing ignition was jamming with key. Insurance online said there was 2 recalls and one was in assembly for Park/lock part. Well all I got was run-around from dealer where I bought car and another saturn dealer. Said it wasn't done but a week later it was done(recall). A lawyer which I have for my dad's estate is charging me 200.00 an hour for his will work. Well is there a legal avenue? I called manufacturer also. I had a pontiac (gasket and air compressore blew, it had 90,000 miles on it, bought it used and all i did to it was put a serpentine belt on it 200.00 in two years. And regular oil changes were also done with trans fluid. I live in Florida. I know I need a man to help me with cars as this is crazy world down here.

Calm down. Go to the dealer and give them the $140 it will take to have it fixed. Problem solved. Saturns were designed to last about 5 years so things are going to break. Jeez, what are you going to think in a year when your head gasket blows? They were known for that, too. It's not a lemon if all it needs is a new ignition lock cylinder. A lemon is a car that makes you walk home once a week. Something that won't start and drive, silly. If you didn't purchase an extended warranty then you don't have a case, like I told you earlier. It happens. It's hard to get a car for $5000 so it sounds like you did OK if that's all that it needs. I paid $7000 for a car with 156,000 miles and any number of things might break at any time and cost me thousands (it's a Benz) but that's just the way it goes.

BTW, did you try spraying a LITTLE WD-40 into the key hole? This stuff sometimes works wonders.
