Which gas stations are known for having quality gasoline?

Discs work better at disapating heat.
You get more pressure per square inch and therefore more friction.
Discs are self cleaning, and tolerate water better (at low speed)

Do I need a new engine?

Hands down disc brakes stop better, are easier to maintain, stay adjusted, last longer, and fade less. The only people I know of that like drum better is old-timer drag racers that think disk brakes drag a little. (There is not enough to make any difference). Most manufacturers have continued with drum on the rear due to the compexity of disk parking brakes.

How much to rebuild a 2000 Mercedes S500 engine?

if drum was better ,why did they use disc ?

need to find do it yourself auto repair online?

Not sure why you are asking - you looking to convert one to the other? Drum brakes heat up and do not disapate heat as well as disks. The ABS technology is all disk, and NASCAR runs for disks.

Is my radiator cap the same as my coolant cap in a 96' Chevy Beretta?

drums have better stopping power versus inertia.Discs are better for lighter vehicles.

The clear coat finish is flaking off my black 2000 Dodge Dakota. How can I fix this myself?

Disc brakes are much better than drum brakes. Disc brakes can be more prone to squealing or squeaking noises on some applications but are vastly better than drum brakes.

I have a 98 chevy astrovan that the front wipers won't turn off.?

depends on the situation. semi trucks for the most part use all drum brakes, very few have discs because of cost. drum shoes have a larger contact patch where as discs dont. disc brakes offer more braking force because they can clamp harder than drums can push, but their again less surface area too. i maintain a fleet of over the road trucks and we typically change brake shoes every 300,000 miles. drums are heavier that discs thats for sure but they are cost effective and easy to maintain. FYI a fully loaded semi truck weighs 40 tons and can stop from 65 mph to 0 in 197 feet using a drum system, where as with the disc it takes roughly 210 feet.

Can I replace a 2001 Windstar power mirror w/a manual one and is it difficult to do? It's the drivers side

Disc brakes are much better than drum. They wear longer, cost less to replace, don`t get hot and fade. Don`t have to be adjusted. Not as prone to freeze in the snow and ice.

require payen gasket catalogue to referance Gasket numbers to cars/models etc.?

Drum brakes could stop your wheels from turning a little quicker for the first 2 or 3 panic stops. After that the brake lining will be glazed to a hard shiny surface, then your disc brakes will be far superior.

How does a person change the points on a 6 volt system in a tractor?

I have yet to see disk brakes that are not power assisted, even on cars as light as 2300 pounds. There is nothing wrong with good drum brakes. I feel like disk brakes are more "draggy". One of the ways I help this is by applying the brakes hard when I stop and am close to home. The idea is that the higher pressure pushes the seals out the wheel piston further and then pulls the pads back a little further when the brakes are released. One day a hose is gonna burst when I do this, but better when stopped than otherwise. High carbon pads tend to fade less because they don't outgas as much when hot. My drum brakes last 100,000 miles and disk brakes about 50,000, but I am old and easy...

does anyone know the specs on tightning pattern and torque foot lb for a 95 civic 1.5 ltr, without a manual?

Disc are better. They stop faster, fade less, cool faster and are less prone to loss of grip when wet. No con side. The only reason cars still come with rear drum brakes is to save money, no expensive or sporty car has them anymore....... even some cheap cars have 4 wheel discs now

rear brake light on- but the brake isn't on?

Disk brakes are better. Drum brakes are from the cave man days.
