Question:
This vehicle has the chip type key, & you can actually remove the key from the vehicle, & it will still stay running. I have replaced the actual switch under the column, but that didn't change anything.
I've exhausted my resources for knowledge, any help would be appreciated. Thank you

My first thoughts:Sometimes it's good to syphon to clear the tubes. It gets the motor running?
1. Bad ignition switch.
2. Bad or shorted wire leading to the switch.
What type of oil should be used in a cummins diesel?
I'd run the wires to look for problems...also check out the ignition module itself.
