Question:
it's been this way over a year. the problem came after i put a 90 deville radiator in. all the hoses and lines lined up. the only adjustment i had to make was the end fittings. everything worked fine. now i have a new 89 radiator and a trans problem. is it the trans control module, trans control solenoid, trans temp sensor, or trans modulator valve. and whats the simplest all the way to the most aggrevating. i dont have the money or tools and equiptment to raise the engine up out to remove the trans. PLEASE HELP a 26 yr old broke father of 4.

Are there any caddy transmission experts out there? Need torque converter help.?
i do this for a living,,and it would have to be the shift solenoid for the transmission,or the tcc switch in the transmission that make it lock up..it don't have a modulator valve on it,,they stopped using those years ago,,everything today is controlled by computer or throttle cables ,so it would have to be one of the two,,good luck hope this help,s.how much is an alternator in uk pounds?
could be a servo pack in the transmisson ( these tell the transmission when to shift up or down based on engine rpm). I'm having the same b\problem in a 94 ford taurus. But my car well shift after about 4 blocks like buttered silk so i'm going to wait till it completly and utterly dies and then fix it (plus car was only $500)Where on the net can i get dutch (also called german ) clamps ?
ditch the caddy if your broke. it will be cheaper to buy another car you can afford to work on(or dont have to). hope your luck gets better. some people just cant afford to drive and thats a sad fact in america.More Questions & Answers ...
