Left my headlights on, jumped battery,alarm went off.I called AAA when they came though, battery wont charge anymore? no alarm sounding off either? Any idea what happened? Please help!

Some times when the battery is totally drained, it takes a long time to get it to except a charge. Plug it in to a trickle charger for a day.

What was the weather like there ---a cool front sometimes kills a battery along with the fact that you drained the power--when you leave the h-lites on there are many other lites that burn at the same time...the battery is a '98 and that makes it 8 years old and it's time to buy a new battery ----get the cables looked at and those connections also----bad or too small gauge cables are a big part of the battery not having a long life_________
