Is it normal for an engine oil additive to be above the full line on the dipstick?

on one side of the dipstick it is way passed, on the other side it is normal.

When checking oil, wipe the dipstick clean first then check oil level.

You might be getting a false reading on the dipstick when pulling out you will pick up fluid on the inside of the tube. In answer to your question no fluid line should be as close to line as poss. additive should get mixed in with oil not added after you have reached full line. This will effect your oil pressure reading on dash.

If it's still above the max, you WILL need to drain some, as it will lead to upper seals going byebye and can be expensive
