How do i open my bonnet?

Question:
my lever of my bonnet is slack so i suppose the cable is snapped. i want to fix it myself cos the mechanics price is ridiculous. i was advised to remove my grill then from there open the bonnet and hopefully connect the new cable. i need to know how i take the grill off my car. or should i take my bumper off? i have a opel astra cs model 2000. please help!

first, try to get a plier or something similar to hook the cable backside of the bonnet lever and pull on it.

if first step doesn't work then removing grill will access the latch to open the bonnet.
