I want to bring back the shine and look of my wheels but don,t want to distroy them with a paint stripper. can anyone help me. Ive been told to use a good rubbing compound with a power ball and this will remove the clear coat without damadge to the wheels.

i own a shop,and you was told right on this one,it will remove the clear coat,and shine the aluminum up real good,but its more work than it sounds like,to make it look really good you need to remove all the clear coat from it,and rub the aluminum down to the point it shines like chrome,they look real good done like this,but its a lot of rubbing but its worth it once you get done with it,good luck,hope this helps.What happens to a car if you drive with the emergency brake on?
No, rubbing compound contains a medium abrasive and will scratch the aluminum badly.. dont use that. If you want to remove the clear coat use a chemical to remove it, never sand aluminum.What type of oil can I put to the manual transmission of my car?
