Buy the repair manual from the auto parts store. Removing the door panel is very easy. If and when you get to the auto parts store, you can find someone who knows about cars and those guys usuallly work on cars on the side. IF you don't know how do it, you will find someone at the store who will do it on the side for a few bucks.What sort of car do you own? Easiest way to seewhat is wrong is to remove the interior door panel, usually the inner part of doors has holes in it (under the panel). See if there is a track along the front side of the door/window. Try and feel your way up and see if it is off that track. Also, there is a lower track that the window sits in, check that as well.
