Your car's working just don't have the greater initial energy necessary to ignite diesel fuel, so it'll just pump through your engine unburnt and liquid.

is it easy to convert a connecting rod and cranksahft for hydraulic fluid?

Well, don't do that. It might run for a little while if it mixes with the gas in the tank, but the diesel is not as refined as the gas and burns differently. You can ruin the cylinder walls, and other combustion components by attempting to burn diesel in your gas engine.

unless you never started your engine if you accidental fill it up with diesel. if you did, all you have to do is flush the diesel out from the tank and filled it up with gas and then flush it out to remove any diesel and repeat. this to make sure that all the diesel is washed out of the tank.

my pug 205 diesel engine takes very long to start and at first start it throws out a lot of smoke.wats prob?

Gas (petrol) and diesel engines have a certain difference - gas engine is spark fired and diesel is compression fired. So if you put diesel in to a gas engine, it will not run. But if it is only a small amount of diesel compared to gas - then it will run. My advice is not to do so. If you had some petrol already to mix with diesel - well, I guess it will not run but might (as I seen in a rare case) with lots of knocking etc. Damages the engine. You need to flush out all diesel (or dilute out) and hope no lasting damage is done.

- The engine may fire depending on how much diesel was mixed into the gas but it will not run well and the added sulfur resulting from the diesel could damage sensors if it is run for any amount of time (Oxygen sensors, cat. converter)

help! My power steering isnt working and the battery is dead. why?

If the enigine has not ran the problem is more of a nuisance than anything. You will need to flush the system by draining the tank and running clean fuel through the lines (usually by disconnecting the line at the engine and allowing the fuel pump to push or pull the new fuel through).

hi all i have a 2.0 ls 1985 vauxhall cav its all good but the engine light is on all the time?

Next you will need to change the oil in the motor. Diesel acts as a solvent when mixed with oil and greatly reduces viscosity. This is the most important issue to address since a little diesel leaking past the piston rings could deteriorate the oils ability to lubricate the engine so much that you can lose bearings in both the crankshaft and camshaft upon starting the engine since it will be essentially dry components.

i have astra 1.7 td 1996 steam is coming out heater vents any ideas what could cause this problem?

I suggest disconnecting your ignition coil and cranking the engine for a minute or so to allow the new oil to be pushed throughout the engine before actually starting it.
