Exaust Tips - Do I have to do any welding with an exaust tip that has a clamp-on inlet?

Question:
I just wanna be able to stick the exhaust tip on without any extra work such as welding, etc.

Answers:

Is it possible?!?!?

I've lost a many of the clamp on ones, I started to tack weld them on, but be careful, too much heat will turn the chrome blue. Wrap a wet rag around them before you put the heat to them.

If im getting my hood painted, will there be any tax?

just make sure you tighten the clamps, you don't have to weld them on unless your jumping terraces or driving in the sticks, even though i live in the sticks i don't weld them on...
